Curtain Tracks
What is a Curtain Track?
Curtain tracks are used to hold up the curtain and are generally fixed to the wall above the window with brackets.
The curtains have hooks looped into the header tape, which then fit onto clips on the track and allows the curtains to be opened and closed.
They can be made of plastic or metal with a powder coat finish. They can be hidden under pelmets or valances or be the same color as your wall, so that they blend in.

Some tracks can be cord controlled, which means that you pull the cord and the curtains open & close, or electronically controlled. Both these options reduce the need for touching the fabric, and in the long run will keep the curtains cleaner as the natural oils from your hands can rub off onto the fabric and build up over time, which then tends to easily attract dirt.
