There are no rules, you can use almost any fabric for drapery and curtains with careful thought about the application, as long as you can justify your selection with all your knowledge – go for it, dare to be different.

Go and look at friends curtains, look at magazines, visit home stores and start to get a feel for the fabrics and how they hang or drape, see the applications that they are used in and you will find that you can start ruling out some fabrics as you search to choose your own!
