Country curtains covers a wide variety of curtains as they can be casual like curtains in a cottage, formal like curtains in a large country estate, or relaxed like in a cabin, batch or crib.

Classic English country chintz fabric curtains with lovely detail. Piped leading edge, then a frill with lace to the leading edge. This curtain looks great in a bedroom or kitchen.

Simple casement headings to the top and bottom of this inward opening sash window fixed with simple curtain wire mean that the windows can be opened into the room without getting caught on any window treatments that may be there.

This is a good solution for this type of window, but it does mean that the window is permanently covered allowing no light through.

Here in this country log cabin, cafe curtains have been used to create privacy and still let in natural light as the interior is very dark. A translucent fabric has been used to maximize the light whilst still creating privacy. The curtains add a tiny bit of softness to a very masculine room.

They are well formed and shapely and so is the lace to the sheer curtains, held at the top with a simple casing threaded through curtain wire.

With the light coming through and the curtain puddling on the sill, the soft feminine form is continued.

Shutters are popular in french country interiors. The use of rich color on these shutters make them a focal point of the room framing the wonderful view into the garden.
